by Renaat Nijs

This photograph is part of the ongoing series Appreciate the Unappreciated, a project that explores the overlooked beauty of urban environments.

As a photographer, Renaat Nijs is always searching for the stories behind an image. Through abstraction, he invites viewers to move beyond the obvious representation of reality, creating space for curiosity, imagination and personal interpretation.

Renaat deliberately focuses on familiar yet often unnoticed locations and mundane objects—places we pass by every day without a second glance—revealing the unexpected beauty hidden in the ordinary.
