Liesbet Braeckman creates unique tactile wall objects from textile remnants sourced from the interior and fashion industries.

By folding and unfolding fabrics and then treating them so that the resulting structures are permanently fixed, she explores the possibilities of textile as a sculptural material. The fixed folds create a play of light and shadow, relief and depth, resulting in wall objects with a rich texture, pronounced layering and a strong tactile character.
