Liesbet Braeckman

Liesbet Braeckman creates wall objects at the intersection of textile, sculpture and graphic art. She works exclusively with leftover materials sourced from Belgian weaving mills and textile manufacturers: fabrics with weaving imperfections, damaged textiles and surplus materials that would otherwise go to waste. By applying textile manipulation techniques in her own distinctive way, she creates layered, three-dimensional compositions with a strong tactile quality.

Liesbet Braeckman explores the potential of textiles as an artistic medium. Combining craftsmanship with formal research, she transforms discarded materials into contemporary works that invite both visual and tactile engagement.
