Robin Berrewaerts

Robin Berrewaerts is a Belgian designer and maker working at the intersection of furniture design and sculpture, with a strong focus on materiality, craftsmanship and intuition.

His repetitive, sometimes meditative dialogue with the material continues until texture and form begin to speak the same language. These moments mark the beginning of each object. Wood is often the starting point, while blackened, oxidised or painted finishes frequently provide the final gesture. Attention is first drawn to the form and surface before the material gradually reveals itself.

Robin Berrewaerts' works are layered, tactile and bring a strong material presence to any space.
